RALEIGH, N.C. - Aug. 10, 2015 - PRLog -- Natalie Perkins, CEO of Clean Design, an award winning branding + advertising agency, has been appointed to the Board of Directors for the North Carolina Coastal Pines Council of the Girl Scouts of the USA.  Girl Scouts, the preeminent leadership development organization for girls, works to build girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place. As a board member, Perkins will lend her experience to assist in leadership and organizational governance for the organization.  She will also chair the committee leading the council’s upcoming 100th anniversary celebration in 2016.

Founded by Juliette Gordon Low in Savannah, Georgia in 1912, Girls Scouts is 2.8 million members strong with more than 100 local councils across the country. Today, Girl Scouts continue Low’s vision by helping girls discover their inner strengths, passions and talents. And with programs ranging for healthy living and life skills to natural sciences and engineering, there’s a chance for every girl to develop into the leader she can be.

A recent 2015 Leadership North Carolina graduate and former Women in Business award winner, Perkins has a long history of community involvement and is a strong champion of the performing arts and area philanthropic causes.  Perkins also serves on boards for Leadership North Carolina, Duke Raleigh Hospital, the Holt Brothers Foundation and the Partnership Board of Wake Education.
