Sunny-dog Ink Receives 2015 Best of Burbank Award

BURBANK, Calif. - Aug. 7, 2015 - PRLog -- Each year, the Burbank Award Program identifies companies that we believe have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category. These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and our community. These exceptional companies help make the Burbank area a great place to live, work and play.

Various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners in each category. The 2015 Burbank Award Program focuses on quality, not quantity. Winners are determined based on the information gathered both internally by the Burbank Award Program and data provided by third parties.

Denise Fleck was raised by a Great Dane and has spent her life loving animals. She has written scores of articles for animal publications and is the proud recipient of the “Award of Excellence” from the Cat Writers Association and two Maxwell Medallions from the Dog Writers Association including “Best Children’s Book.” A former studio publicist, Fleck followed her heart deciding to work with animals, and after extensive training and practice, developed her own Pet First-Aid & CPCR curriculum as well as a 5 month long Animal Care course for high school students (a joint effort of the Burbank Unified School District and the Burbank Animal Shelter).  Twice annually, she has the privilege of teaching veterinary students from Tokyo colleges animal life-saving skills and annual teaches at the Pet Sitters International™ World Educational Conference, to be held this September in Myrtle Beach, SC.  Denise has also shared these skills on CBS –TV’s The Doctors, CNN Headline News, Animal Planet, Kirstie Alley's Big Life and other many shows, has created a line of Pet First-Aid Kits, authored 9 books on animal care and respect and has twice been a finalist as "Pet Industry's Woman of the Year."  Dog Mom to 11 and Cat Mom to 1, Denise and her husband Paul currently share their lives with two rescued Japanese Akitas, Haiku & Bonsai.
