California Miramar University Announces Entry into Collegiate Sports

SAN DIEGO - Aug. 7, 2015 - PRLog -- California Miramar University located in San Diego, California announces the entry into collegiate sports. The university has adopted the name and mascot “the falcons”. The university is commencing in the area of men’s baseball, starting with fall 2015 training and the season officially begins during the spring semester 2016.

The team will be led my head coach Leo Guiterrez. Plans are to enter the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) in preparation for application to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). The expansion to other sports is planned over the next two years. Future sports will include men and women basketball, volleyball and soccer. The expansion to women’s softball, and men and women’s beach volleyball are also in the planning stages.
