Swedish Walleräng E-bikes to the U.S E-bike Market

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. - Aug. 7, 2015 - PRLog -- Santa Cruz, Calif. – August 7, 2015 – Blix Bicycle is partnering with Swedish based Walleräng E-bikes to launch the M.01, one of the first e-bikes in the U.S to use Shimano’s new STEPS technology.

“E-bikes are becoming a real solution for urban transportation in the U.S, and it’s very exciting to bring a really unique quality commuter e-bike to the market”, says Pontus Malmberg, CEO at Blix Bicycle, a manufacturer of Scandinavian designed commuter e-bikes based in Santa Cruz, CA.

Designed and handmade out of Gothenburg, Sweden, the Walleräng E-bikes concept has been built around the Nordic concept with a smart and clean integrated design and a modular functionality.

The Walleräng E-bikes feature STEPS mid-motor drive system and Shimano’s Alfine 8-speed internal hub gears with Di2 electronic shifting.

Changing gears becomes easier, effortless and faster by simply touching the shift buttons. A shifter sends an electronic signal to the motor unit, which initiates the gear change while ensuring for smooth and precise cooperation with the STEPS drive system.

The Walleräng M.01 will be showed to dealers this fall, and will retail for $3,590. It will also be on display at Interbike in September in the Blix Bicycle booth.
