Were almost ready to release some very exciting news! Thriving Foods™ is joining forces with an established 501(c)(3) not-for-profit national organization.

NOURISHING OUR COMMUNITY WITH HEALING FOOD AND LOVE

Thriving Foods™ is a newly formed 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization in Coachella Valley, California in the process of launching our program. Thriving Foods’ co-founder Dr. Stacia Young-Wesenberg is a clinical Oncology Pharmacist with over 25 years of experience in healthcare. She recognizes the importance of diet and nutrition before, during, and after chemo treatment. Her goal is to help individuals adjust to a cancer diagnosis and to continue to live normal, healthy lives. Thriving Foods™ supports individuals dealing with serious life-threatening illnesses with free, delivered, and nutrient-rich prepared meals along with a community of nurturing support. We involve young people and adults as volunteers, gardeners, and chefs who can experience the transformative power of serving and nurturing those in need while developing cooking and healthy eating skills. Educating the broader community about the connections between healthy food & healing is at the heart of what we do.

We believe that food is an important source of our ability to heal ourselves and is the foundation to long-term health and well-being. Thriving Foods™ combines direct support to people facing life threatening health challenges and supports long-term prevention of disease. Our teens not only feel good about their direct contributions to other peoples well being; they also learn life long lessons about the power of healing food. Moreover we strive to build meaningful relationships through community action that connects teens and adults in work that heals us all, engaging in positive work that transforms lives in our larger community.

We are basing this program on a proven and very successful model developed by Ceres Community Project in Northern California founded by Cathryn Couch.

Your generous support provides nourishing meals and a caring community to our clients dealing with illness, grows healthy young leaders, and helps spread the word that what we eat is the true foundation for our health. We can’t do what we do without your help. I'm writing to ask you for your support by making a tax-deductible gift today
