LONG BEACH, Calif. - Aug. 6, 2015 - PRLog -- One of the most enduring shows of all time, Tim Rice & Andrew Lloyd Webber’s JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT is the irresistible family musical about the trials and triumphs of Joseph, Israel’s favorite son.

The new production stars Stella Kim as The Narrator and Duke Rausavljevich as Joseph.

Retelling the Biblical story of Joseph, his eleven brothers and the coat of many colors, this magical musical is full of unforgettable songs including "Those Canaan Days," "Any Dream Will Do" and "Close Every Door."  Book your tickets and be part of the magic!

In addition to creating the choreography, Fernando Christopher also serves as assistant director of the production which opens August 14 at the Ernest Borgnine Theatre, 855 Elm Avenue in Long Beach, CA  90813.  The production will play for only 6 performances spanning two weekends, closing August 23, 2015.

In 2013 Fernando Christopher was nominated for Best Choreography in conjunction with “For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf”.

Fernando has performed in many Southern California theatres in such shows as Xanadu Live, Pippin, The Apple Tree, Evita, West Side Story, Crazy For You, Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, and many more.

Besides musical theatre, he has performed on a cruise ship, in a theme park, and in film and industrials. Along with teaching dance to children, he has choreographed various special events and fashion shows and created a pop album record.

Show director and co-producer, Ray Buffer says of Christopher, “Fernando and I developed a kind of short-hand early on.  He’s very intuitive.  He takes the time necessary to insure that steps are learned and most importantly… are safely performed.  I really like his attention to detail, and the way he communicates individually with the cast.”  Buffer adds, “Fernando has brought the appropriate amount of distinction to each piece of movement. ‘Joseph’ has a variety of musical styles, and Fernando has found ways to match those styles with very different flavors, angles and placements.”

Assisting Christopher as dance captain, is the able and talented, Sierra Green who currently studies at Chapman University and is employed at Disneyland.

Advance admission for reserved and general seating can be purchased through Brown Paper Tickets at 1(800) 838-3006 or online at http://technicolor.bpt.me.

The production is produced by Art-In-Relation - founding producers, Jonas Sills and Ray Buffer.
