Long Island African American featured in largest and most comprehensive Newspaper in Queens County
Long Island African American Chamber of Commerce, Inc. (LIAACC) featured in Queens Courier Newspaper. The Queens Courier is the largest and most comprehensive weekly news publication in Queens.

LIAACC’s President Phil Andrews stated in the Queens Courier “People, when they get into business or they want to get into business, they need some type of support, some type of guidance around how to get loans or how to get their business to the next level,” Andrews said. “After a while, when you operate the business it can become so challenging that you can’t get to the next level, so having a network of professionals is a great [way] to help them with their business skills.”
LIAACC is a leading advocate for Minority Women Business Enterprise (MWBE) certification and utilization in the four counties of Brooklyn, Nassau, Suffolk and Queens. Charlene Thompson of Baldwin-based Thompson Economic Development Services stated in Newsday “We want our professional services as well as our trades to be aware of the contracting opportunities”
