Snell & Wilmer Attorney Elected to the Executive Committee of Rebuilding Together Southern Nevada

LAS VEGAS - Aug. 4, 2015 - PRLog -- Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that Robin Perkins, an attorney in  the firm’s Las Vegas office, was elected to the Executive Committee of Rebuilding Together Southern Nevada (RTSNV) and will serve as its secretary. She was named to the board of directors in Fall 2014.

RTSNV is the local affiliate of the nation’s leading nonprofit organization working to preserve affordable homeownership and revitalize neighborhoods by providing rehabilitation services free of charge to those in need. Since 1994, RTSNV has been working with the City of Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, and Henderson communities by bringing volunteers and communities together to improve the homes and lives of low-income homeowners. RTSNV and its 1,200 community partners and volunteers have renovated and rehabilitated more than 7,500 homes. RTSNV provides services to seniors, veterans, and families of active-duty service members, multigenerational families, and disabled homeowners so that they may continue to live safe and independent lives.

“In my relatively short time serving on Rebuilding Together’s board of directors, our volunteers, board members and the community have provided assistance to more than 200 homeowners in 2015 alone,” said Perkins. “I am proud to be a part of an organization that understands the importance of preserving home ownership. In addition to serving on the board and executive committee of RTSNV, Perkins is a member of the board of directors of The Animal Foundation. She is also a member of the American Bar Association, Section of Litigation, the Animal Law Section of the Nevada Bar Association and the Animal Legal Defense Fund.

At Snell & Wilmer, Perkins’ practice is concentrated in business and commercial litigation, with an emphasis in financial services litigation and construction litigation. Specifically, Perkins defends financial institutions in claims involving fraud, bad faith lending, and common law contracts and torts. She pursues and defends claims on behalf of owners and contractors in mechanic’s lien actions, lien priority disputes, delay and impact claims, breach of contract and lease, unjust enrichment and other actions seeking damages in state and federal litigation, arbitration and mediation. Perkins received her J.D. from Texas Tech University School of Law and her B.S., magna cum laude, from New York University.
