Kings Home Healthcare Receives Top Five Star Rating from Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS)

POTTSVILLE, Pa. - Aug. 4, 2015 - PRLog -- Kings Home Healthcare Inc., a provider of high quality skilled home healthcare in Pennsylvania announced that the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) have awarded them the highest star rating through a new rating system for home health care providers.

Nationally, 239 of 12,261 agencies have received this top rating. In Pennsylvania, only eight agencies received this honor. Per Pennsylvania Homecare Association, only three of their 700 members in the state received this distinction. Kings Home Healthcare is the only agency in its service region to receive this coveted rating.

The Home Health Compare Quality of Patient Care Star Ratings are based on an agency’s relative performance on nine quality measures tracked by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), including timeliness of care and frequency of hospital admissions. They are similar to the CMS star ratings for nursing homes and other providers.  The ratings were published in July 2015 by CMS to offer more transparency to the home health industry and to provide a valuable tool for consumers and physicians to compare and select the best home health agencies.
