Follow on Google News | Seneca High and EKU Grad will be a guest on A Matter of Interpretation on August 9,15 at 4:00 PMThomas Jefferson and Seneca High used to be arch rivals but on Sunday August 9, 2015 on WIGNTV Networks Ms.Janice Downs will appear on A Matter of Interpretation hosted by TJ Grad Claudette Milner. The topic will be "The Mind of a Sex Offender".
By: WIGNTV Networks I asked Ms. Milner why she decided to include this segment. Her answer was," We have heard testimonies from survivors of violent crimes but now we move our focus to education in our last two episodes with experts Janice Downs and Kalimah Johnson. What do I want my audience to know about sex offenders. How do we protect our youth? How do we separate the myths from the reality? We live in a society where our children are being violated but the church is ignoring the issue. When I decided to host this show it was my mission to discuss issues that affect women, men and children that are not included in the Sunday morning pulpit or the church workshops. I do not believe we can minister to the masses if we cannot restore the church through choosing mercy and compassion over gossip and judgment. It is the time for restoration of God's house. It is time for a honest discussion of the needs of the church and how we begin to provide answers and solutions to our congregation through Christian counseling and the rejuvenation of the spirit using the word of God as our tool."
