Hutchison PLLC Announces Launch of 15th Annual Compensation and Benefits Survey

RALEIGH, N.C. - Aug. 4, 2015 - PRLog -- Hutchison PLLC, a leading provider of strategic business counsel to the life science and technology communities, is pleased to announce the launch of its fifteenth annual compensation and benefits survey in 2015 with co-sponsors RPG Solutions and HireNetworks. The survey will be provided to eligible participants the week of August 20, 2015, and participants that complete the survey will receive a full copy of the 2015 Compensation and Benefits Survey Report.

Hutchison PLLC launched its Compensation Survey for the first time in 2000 as a service to its clients, composed primarily at that time of North Carolina emerging growth technology companies in the software, e-commerce, internet infrastructure, biotechnology, medical devices and wireless industries. In 2000, salary, bonus and equity ownership information was provided only for five executive positions (Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Technology/Scientific Officer, Vice President of Business Development and Chief Marketing/Sales Officer).

Since 2000, the survey has become one of the key benchmarking tools used by privately-held technology and life science companies in the Southeast and their investors and is now four times its original size. As founding partner Fred Hutchison notes, “Our compensation survey is unique because unlike other compensation surveys conducted on a national level which can be skewed by participants in larger markets such as Silicon Valley and Boston, this survey is based exclusively on information from privately-held technology and life sciences companies in the Southeast. It is a key benchmarking tool which companies in Southeast markets can use to help attract and retain top-level executives.”

In 2014, the annual Compensation and Benefits Survey included compensation information for 13 executive-level position and, with the addition of RPG Solutions as a sponsor in that year, provided an expanded benefits section related to non-executive employees. In 2015, Raleigh-based executive search firm HireNetworks will join Hutchison PLLC and RPG Solutions as a co-sponsor. “With the addition of HireNetworks and the inclusion of companies from more regions in the Southeast, our 2015 survey should be the best yet,” Hutchison said.

Surveys will be sent out to eligible participants the week of August 20, 2015, for completion.
