Follow on Google News | Author Michael Boulerice to Release New Collection of Short StoriesThe Adventures of KungFu Mike and the Magic Sunglasses available Aug. 4
By: KFMedia The 384-page memoir features a collection of humorous and heart aching short stories centered on Boulerice’s life growing up in New Hampshire. The book, which has been in the works since 2005, features a blend of new and vintage literary creations. Some of the stories have been featured on various online literary websites, but have since been polished and rewritten. Many of the stories are brand new original works. “When I was in my 20s, I used to wear silly hair metal costumes for Halloween. So easy - wig, tight jeans...it’s the easiest low-budget get-up going, and girls somehow found it attractive. Well, at least drunk girls at a Halloween party found it attractive. If I got out of control drunk and started breaking furniture, I wasn’t being an a**hole; I was in character and method acting. It just worked. Back then, if I had to pray to a God, I would have prayed to the one that made sure women my age had big sisters with Mötley Crüe posters smeared with lip gloss above their beds growing up.” The new book is the first of three nonfiction works Boulerice say he plans to publish in the coming years. The book will be available in paperback on Amazon and other select bookstores and retail outlets beginning Aug. 4. The eBook version will be available beginning Aug. 14. Audio book to follow soon thereafter. “The writing process for this book was a grand exercise in humility and self-forgiveness” About the Author: Michael Boulerice was born in Springfield, Massachusetts on June 16th, 1980. A few months after, he moved to coastal New Hampshire, where he has spent the bulk of his life ever since. Boulerice resides in Nottingham, New Hampshire with his wife Jessica, dog Rodney, and feral miscreant of a cat Charlie. When he isn’t writing about his experiences, Michael is most likely coaxing Charlie down from the curtains, trundling around his property on a John Deere, playing retro video games, or snowboarding at his favorite New England mountain resorts.
