HERSHEY, Pa. - July 27, 2015 - PRLog -- The International Association of Trampoline Parks (IATP) applauds the efforts of the Colorado Department of Labor & Employment for successfully working with stakeholders to craft comprehensive regulation that establishes reasonable standards for construction, operation, repair and maintenance of indoor trampoline parks.

The IATP fully supports and will promote the safety recommendations and standards established by the Colorado Division of Oil & Public Safety – 7CCR 1101-12. Members of the IATP Board were instrumental in providing insight and understanding to the indoor trampoline park industry as well as in the drafting of the regulation.

IATP Certification Committee Chairman, Ed Reed stated, "We appreciate the time invested learning about the indoor trampoline park industry by the Colorado Department of Labor & Employment - Division of Oil and Public Safety. This regulation will require trampoline courts in the State of Colorado to be ASTM 2970-15 compliant which will help to ensure a safer industry and ultimately provide a more positive experience for guests of our parks.  We look forward to a positive ongoing relationship with Colorado Regulators.”

The indoor trampoline park industry is one of the fastest growing segments of the amusement industry. It is estimated that by the end of 2015 there will be over 550 indoor trampoline parks open worldwide.  As the industry continues to grow globally, the IATP’s number one focus will be to promote safety standards and provide resources to encourage patron education to ensure park owners are operating their parks with optimal jumpers’ safety as their top priority.

The IATP was created in 2012 under the guiding principles of ensuring the integrity, transparency and innovation of the indoor trampoline park industry and to promote safe operations, facilitate commercial success and stimulate growth. It is the mission of the IATP to be regarded as an essential resource and the international authority for our industry.
