GAI Consultants Adds Ali Noorollahi, P.E. to their Expanding Florida Transportation Market

(GAI) welcomes Ali Noorollahi, P.E., Senior Structures Technical Leader, to its expanding Florida transportation market. Ali brings with him over 29 years of experience and a proven track record of successfully managing and leading transportation teams and high profile projects.

Ali’s background includes experience in structural analysis and preparation of plans for bridges (reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete and structural steel) and analysis and rating of existing bridges.

Ali has experience in the design and analysis of other types of transportation structures including cast-in-place retaining walls, anchored sheet pile walls, under cut walls, box culverts and sign structures.

He has supervised teams of engineers and detailers and managed numerous bridge and roadway projects including the evaluation of a part of the 21 miles of I-4 ultimate in Central Florida.

Ali was the Engineer of Record (EOR) for the three new bridges and retaining walls that were part of the widening of I-95 from north of SR 44 to north of US 92 in Florida. In addition, he served as EOR and or design reviewer for the I-4 Slip Ramp for Downtown Disney, SunRail in Central Florida, Lee Roy Selmon Crosstown Expressway, Port Of Miami Tunnel Project, SR 408 Widening–Oxalis Drive to Chickasaw Trail in Orlando, Ken Burns Bridge in MA, SR 528/SR 436 Interchange in Orlando, SH 161 Interchange in Texas, SH 340 Bridge over Colorado River Parkway and a number of bridge structures for District 1 thru District 7 in Florida and states of Texas, Colorado, Ohio, South Carolina, Georgia, Utah, Tennessee, Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

Based out of GAI’s Orlando, FL office, Ali will lead major structures design projects statewide and is playing a key role in several current GAI projects and pursuits, including the Florida Turnpike Widening from Atlantic to Boynton Beach, and the I-95 at I-10 Operational Improvements Projects.

Ali is a registered professional engineer in four states and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from Purdue University and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Central Florida.
