RecruitMilitary and Convoy Join Forces to Educate Veteran Employers

LOVELAND, Ohio - July 22, 2015 - PRLog -- RecruitMilitary, the nation’s leading veteran hiring company, and Liz McLean, owner and founder of Convoy Veteran Hiring Solutions, an educating and consulting firm for companies that hire veterans, have formed a partnership to create a series of veteran hiring workshops. The workshops are intended to educate employers about effective veteran hiring practices and how to create a veteran-friendly work environment to retain veteran talent.

Convoy’s goal is to help introduce, develop, educate, and implement the relationship between employers and veterans. At each workshop, McLean and RecruitMilitary staff will provide a half-day of training focused on the six most critical aspects of a veteran employment strategy:

1.     Understanding the veteran market.

2.     Ways to source veterans for your job opportunities.

3.     Identifying the “right” veterans for your organization.

4.     Interviewing tips designed to help immediately build rapport with veteran candidates.

5.     Closing veterans on your organization.

6.     Retaining veteran hires.

In each case, an All Veterans Job Fair jointly sponsored by DAV and RecruitMilitary will take place the day following the workshop in the same city. Workshops are currently scheduled for the following cities:

*  August 26– Dallas

*  September 1 – Boston

*  September 30 – Cincinnati
