Save America's schools by enrolling 1,000,000 new children in music

CHANDLER, Ariz. - July 17, 2015 - PRLog -- Be Part of the Music is an non-profoit and industry led coalition designed to help save America's public schools by enrolling 1,000,000 new children in its school music programs.

In an an effort to raise standards and scores, America's schools are curtailing or cutting the very programs that are proven to raise them. Growing our nations music programs is the fastest way to achieving better performing schools.

Study after study cites a direct and causal relationship between a students access to music and higher test scores, lower drop out rates, lower drug abuse rates, higher GPA'S, etc...  In fact, there are few is any problems our schools are seeking to solve that music education doesn't make better.

Our program seeks to expand the successes we had with Be Part of the Band (http://www.bepartoftheband.com/) (www.bepartoftheband.com), which boosted enrollment by 20% in elementary music programs that utilized our materials. The new project seeks to add choir and orchestra to the fold and also develop retention programs for middle and high school. We completed the shoot for orchestra this past week and will be filming the high school retention component in September. The choir version will follow in 2016.
