Four to be Recognized with Diversity Spirit Achievement Award™ at ShoWare Center July 21

KENT, Wash. - July 17, 2015 - PRLog -- – City Career Fair Productions (http://www.citycareerfair.com/) and Diversity Recruiter’s Network (http://diversityrecruitersnetwork.org/) announced today that Carlos Tasso Aquino, Ph.D. of University of Phoenix, Kakela Hall Sr., Founder of KD Hall Communications, Douglas Freeman, CEO of Virtcom, and Diversity Practitioner Michelle R. Bridges will receive the Diversity Spirit Achievement Award™. They will be commended on Diversity Employment Day, Tuesday, July 21, 2015 during The Diversity Practioners Roundtable, presented in sponsorship with University of Phoenix, to be held from 9:00 am to 10:45 am at the Upper Clubhouse of the ShoWare Center (625 West James Street, Kent, WA 98032.)

The Diversity Recruiters Network’s Diversity Spirit Achievement Award™ is a national award program recognizing corporations, individuals, community organizations and media for actively supporting diversity in the community and workplace. The nomination criteria include having vision, creativity and active promotion of diversity and inclusion on a local and national level.

The Diversity Spirit Achievement Award™ recognizes the tireless efforts of these awardees in the diversity and inclusion space,” said Neal Morrison, Director of Diversity Recruiters Network. “They have set the bar for others to emulate nationwide.”

Panelists for the Diversity Practitioners Roundtable, include Aquino, Hall, Bridges, Connie Summers (Boeing), Charlotte Foster (Swedish), Dr. Paul Gerhardt (Pierce College), Deputy Chief Carmen Best (Seattle Police Department). Best practices for recruiting, promoting and retaining qualified employees from the Multicultural and Diverse communities will be explored.

At 11:45 am following the roundtable, Freeman will be presenting a Diversity BenchMark Workshop™ entitled “Unconscious Bias In The Workplace.” These invitation-only events are for employers, professional and community-based organizations and the media..
