RENO, Nev. - July 17, 2015 - PRLog -- Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that Craig Denney, an attorney in  the firm’s Reno office, was elected by his Lawyer Representative colleagues to serve as Vice Chair of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal’s Lawyer Representative Coordinating Committee (LRCC) at the 2015 NInth Circuit Judicial Conference in San Diego. He began serving his one-year term as Vice Chair on July 14. Previously, he served as the Lawyer Representative for the District of Nevada and then as a co-chair for Nevada on the LRCC.

As Vice Chair, Denney will assist the Chair and coordinate the activities of the LRCC which include assisting with the planning and attending the 2016 Ninth Circuit conference; attending the district meetings and LRCC meetings between lawyer representatives and judges; preparing and submitting an annual report for the LRCC; planning and attending the Chief Judge's Conference; planning the district dinner; overseeing the voting in all elections during the judicial conference, including voting on any and all resolutions; educating members of the bar about the Ninth Circuit Judicial Conference; and acting as a conduit between the bench and the bar.

Denney focuses his practice in the areas of white collar defense and investigations, securities litigation, government relations, commercial litigation and antitrust.

He is a board certified criminal trial advocate with over 35 federal jury trials to his credit. Denney provides practical legal advice to corporate and individual clients on both internal and grand jury investigations. Denney has served in the U.S. Army both on active duty and in the reserve for 20 years as a military lawyer and currently as a military judge in the Army Reserve.

Prior to joining Snell & Wilmer, he was an assistant U.S. attorney in the U.S. Attorney’s Office, District of Nevada. Denney is an adjunct faculty member at the University of Nevada, Reno. He received his J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, M.A. from the U.S. Army War College, M.B.A. from Saint Martin’s College and B.A., summa cum laude, from Ohio Dominican University. He is active in the Reno community and serves on the board of trustees of the Nevada Museum of Art and is a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Rotary Club of Reno Sunrise.
