Summit County Judges Linda, Tom Teodosio Receive 2015 Festa Italiana Heritage Award

Awards given out at sold-out venue at Italian American Center in Akron, Ohio
 
AKRON, Ohio - July 15, 2015 - PRLog -- AKRON, Ohio, July 15, 2015 -- In a sold-out venue at the Italian-American Center in Akron, Summit County judges Linda and Tom Teodosio received the 2015 Festa Italiana Heritage award.

Cuyahoga Falls Mayor Don Walters also issued a city-wide proclamation to the Teodosio’s for appreciation of their contributions to the Italian-American community as well as their humanitarian efforts throughout the county.

In addition to the Heritage Award, Festa Italiana of Cuyahoga Falls gave a $1,000 scholarship to Archbishop Hoban graduate and Toledo University-bound student Ann Tomei. Receiving the Humanitarian Award was Dora Wallace, who, 11 years ago, gave a kidney to save the life of Carmella Mariola. The final award of the evening was an Appreciation Award given to soprano Julie Crookston, an Archbishop Hoban graduate, who has contributed her singing talents to Festa Italiana for the last 6 years. Ms. Crookston also won an International singing contest in Italy.
