Bennett, Jr. has been reappointed by Indiana Governor Mike Pence as Chairman of the Indiana Election Commission. Bennett was originally appointed to the Indiana Election Commission in 2007 by Governor Mitch Daniels.
By: Riley Bennett and Egloff, LLP Formed in 1995 on an act of the Indiana General Assembly, the Indiana Election Commission is governed by a four person board of which all members are appointed by the Governor of Indiana. To be a member of the Indiana Election Commission, one must hold membership in a major political party and be a registered Indiana voter. Nominations are taken from recommendations of the respective state party chairpersons, and no more than two members of the board can be from either major party. Bennett has been a member of the Commission since August, 2011.
