SAVANNAH, Ga. - July 13, 2015 - PRLog -- The Coastal Corvette Association donated $500 to SAFE Shelter Center for Domestic Violence Services and Kicklighter Resource Center. The presentation took place at the Shell House Restaurant. Club president, Mike Goodling presented the checks to Cheryl Branch, executive director of SAFE Shelter, and Stacey Davis, executive director at Kicklighter Resource Center.

This year, SAFE Shelter Center for Domestic Violence Services is celebrating their 35th anniversary in assisting victims of domestic violence in the greater Savannah area. Branch said, “This donation will support our array of comprehensive services for victims at the shelter, those who have exited the shelter and for those who do not require shelter but need legal advocacy.”

The club raised the money through a car show in Bluffton, SC. Goodling said, “My wife had come across SAFE Shelter years ago and mentioned to me that they needed more recognition in the community. After Charlotte passed away and our club was looking for a group to give donations to, I explained her point that battered women and families who have faced abusive situations, don’t get enough support in Savannah. The Corvette Club felt that this would be one of the best places we could make a donation.”
