GARDEN GROVE, Calif. - July 9, 2015 - PRLog -- Saint-Gobain Seals announces the opening of its new technical and sales office located at 12941 North Fwy., Suite 226, Houston, Texas 77060, with a District Sales Manager and Application Engineer on staff, which will reinforce the support to local oil and gas (www.seals.saint-gobain.com/seals-energy.aspx) customers.  Demand to understand the evolving application conditions of this market continues to grow and Saint-Gobain Seals has taken steps to ensure partnerships with their customers remain strong to meet emerging oil and gas market requirements.

Christophe Valdenaire, Global Market Manager - Oil & Gas said, “The opening of our Houston office is an important step forward in our efforts to shorten the development time of bespoke sealing solutions that fulfill the increasing sealing performance requirements in this industry. As part of our co-design business strategy, we leverage our many years of engineering expertise and R&D application testing capabilities including high pressure/high temperature (30kpsi/392°F compliant with API6A – PR2), fugitive emissions compliant with ISO 15848-1 and cryogenic platform to meet the challenging and critical needs of LNG production. As a result, our seals are designed and validated to provide confidence to our customers over the lifetime of the product.”

The main contacts at the Houston office will be:

• Anthony Stefanik, District Sales Manager responsible for Texas, Louisiana, and Arkansas, has more than 12 years of outside sales and project management experience with isolation and control valves in the oil and gas industry (both domestically and globally), selling and managing projects with major end-users, distributors, and EPCs in North and South America.  His primary responsibility is the development of cooperative relationships with OEM valve and equipment manufacturers whose products are geared toward high pressure and high temperature, cryogenic, and low fugitive emission applications.  His contact information is:  anthony.stefanik@saint-gobain.com, Cell: 832-284-5715

“The Gulf States’ oil and gas market is a strategic focus for Saint-Gobain Seals, and with the opening of the new office in Houston, we are technically responsive and provide dedicated support to customers with current design requirements, new technologies, and critical-path project schedules. We have a solid reputation globally for engineering and manufacturing high-integrity performance seals for valves, transfer systems, turret swivels for FPSOs, and subsea and down-hole exploration equipment in severe and harsh operating conditions,” said Stefanik.

• Jacob Lester, Applications Engineer, has eight years of experience in aerospace, and most recently has worked with design and qualification for down-hole applications, specializing in electrical connectors and production equipment.  He is experienced with the challenges involved in sealing solutions and material degradation in demanding oil and gas applications.  His role in the new Houston office will be to not only support local oil and gas customers but also those in the Gulf States, primarily devoted to providing seal design solutions and installation and qualification testing support.  His contact information is: jacob.lester@saint-gobain.com, Cell: 832-985-9309

Lester added, “Saint-Gobain Seals is committed to serving the U.S. oil & gas market.  The addition of the Houston office will allow us to work closely with our customers to address the increasing demands for creative sealing solutions.”

Opening a dedicated office in Houston is one of Saint-Gobain Seals’ business decisions to strategically expand their sealing solutions presence in North America.  Another decision is attending key conferences and events in this region such as the VMA Technical Seminar in San Antonio, High-Performance Polymers Conference in Houston, and NACE Corrosion Conference in Dallas.  In the middle of July, they will be exhibiting at Valve World Americas 2015 (Booth 1052) to showcase their OmniSeal® spring-energized seals  and other sealing solutions developed for future challenges.  They will also share their expertise in ultra-deepwater production, high pressure and high temperature, harsh chemicals, rapid gas decompression resistance, long durability at extreme temperature and sour gas concentrations, proprietary Fluoroloy® fluoropolymer compounds qualified to NORSOK M-710 and API6A F.1.13 specifications, metal energizers NACE MR01-075 approved alloys for use in sour gas service,  cryogenic temperatures and designs compliant with low fugitive emission international standards ISO 15848 and Shell MESC SPE 77-312.
