JONESBORO, Ga. - July 7, 2015 - PRLog -- School is about to be back in session – For many, this is an exciting time and the rush is on. But for other families, this is an extremely overwhelming time. Family stress can mount up with thoughts of the, “Long List” of school supplies, getting the “Right” Clothes/Shoes or Uniforms, providing healthy lunches or choosing to Pay “Rent and Utilities.”

On July 11, 2015 From Words 2 Action Outreach Ministries will host the "Supplies For Success Back 2 School Donation Drive" at the Headquarters of  B & W Roofing and Gutters LLC located 7379 Fielder Rd Jonesboro, GA 9 am - 4 pm

From Words 2 Action Outreach Ministries asked local companies and organizations to give back to students, parents and guardians of Clayton and Henry County.  B & W Roofing and Gutters LLC., was the first company to answer the call of “Community Love” by offering their headquarters as the primary drop off location. Eddie & Paul Webb sat down with the family operated staff immediately and ordered 50 book-bags the same day. They Family started calling other vendors that they work with to join in on the donation drive.” We believe in giving back because God has given us so much!” Eddie Webb owner said. During this drive, FW2A is asking for school supplies as well as non-perishable lunch-bags filled for children in grades, k-12 and 2 college students attending Clayton State University.  The overall goal is to make this school year a time when kids realize their potential and discover who they are and what they are able to achieve.

Many children face limited educational opportunities while they are in school due to local & state budget restrictions which is a situation that fosters academic achievement gaps between children of different income levels. Each Donation to the students and families help to narrow these gaps.          In researching stats, Jazzie Jones- Smith found that according to surveys done by other organizations which work to end child hunger, surveying more than 1,000 teachers and principals around the country, 73 percent of teachers regularly instruct hungry students who don’t have enough to eat at home, and 87 percent of principals said they consistently see hungry students in school. As a result of such pervasive hunger, teachers spend nearly $40 a month buying food for kids out of pocket, the survey found. The vast majority of teachers and principals routinely see students that are “too hungry to learn,” according to a report by no hungry kid.

Community Help is Needed! Please Donate “Supplies for Success” that help provide underprivileged individuals/families with book-bags and lunch-bags filled with school supplies, food and drink items that are non-perishable and can be quickly consumed. Volunteers are welcome to come and assist at 9:00am July 11, 2015 to give, receive and sort items for bags to be donated to individual students/families, ocial workers, schools and other organizations that will helpa child startthe schoolyear off right. (Distribution will continue through the 7-25-2015)
