SANTA ROSA, Calif. - July 6, 2015 - PRLog -- The Lime Foundation, announced the installation of its Board of Directors. Founder and President, Letitia Hanke (Santa Rosa), announced the additions of Vice President Matthew McPherson (Santa Rosa),Secretary Tina Chavez (Sacramento), Treasurer Gloria Turner (Hidden Valley Lake), and board members Andrew Leonoard (Santa Rosa) and Ashley Yarbrough (Antioch) to the organizational board of this newly established 501(c) 3 non-profit.

The Lime Foundation’s mission is to advocate for the disadvantaged. It offers programs that provide housing repair and vocational training to those in need. It also supports opportunities for youth to experience and appreciate arts, and for seniors to stay active.

According to Hanke who founded the organization, “The Lime Foundation embodies a life-long dream to help others succeed.”

That dream grew out of her own experiences. Bullied as a child, Hanke who owns ARS Roofing, Gutters and Waterproofing in both Sonoma and Marin Counties knows firsthand that most people struggling to improve their situations can do so when given the opportunity.

Hanke is also President of the North Bay Black Chamber of Commerce, Vice President of California Black Chamber of Commerce, and a 2015 recipient of the North Bay Women In Business Award.

The Lime Foundation is currently repairing roofs in several Sonoma County locations, including a few homes as well as Community Baptist Church in Santa Rosa. It is also establishing vocational apprenticeship opportunities in several locations locally and internationally. This summer it began an entrepreneurial training program with Sonoma State University Professor Mary Graves in the Bahamas for entrepreneurs and provides ongoing business support (remotely via Skype) to select business men and women who have launched construction-related companies.

Partnering with a variety of other like-minded organizations, the foundation’s board and staff also have plans to bring entrepreneurial expertise to arts-related opportunities for youth that include music and dance and to the development of team activities, like bowling, for seniors.

The foundation is headquartered in Santa Rosa. To learn more visit  www.limefoundation.org or call (707) 696-2247.
