UFO Researchers Offer 60th Anniversary Tour of Area 51 on July 17
UFO researchers Noe Torres and Ruben Uriarte have joined with Adventure Photo Tours of Las Vegas to offer a special 60th anniversary tour of Area 51, which opened in July 1951. The tour departs Las Vegas on July 17, 2015 at 7 a.m.
Area 51 opened in July 1955, but the U.S. government did not acknowledge its existence until 2013, when the release of previously-classified CIA documents firmly established that the base is real. The 60th anniversary tour will offer visitors a chance to see several sights around Area 51 that have become part of UFO folklore, including the Extraterrestrial Highway, Rachel, the Little A’le’ Inn, the Black Mailbox, the mutated Joshua Trees, the Area 51 front entrance, the Cammo Dudes, the high-tech electronic surveillance devices, the “JANET” airliners, and more. Although tour groups are not allowed through the gates into the base, many interesting locations around the base will be explored.
Tour vehicles are Luxury 7-passenger 4×4 SUVs operated by Adventure Photo Tours of Las Vegas. The tour includes lunch, unlimited bottled water and snacks, and a professional guide. Pick up for the tour will be at 7 a.m. Las Vegas time and return will be at about 5 p.m. (10 hours total). The cost, including all taxes and fees, is normally $199.00 per person, but if you mention the Roswell Books Package, you will receive a $30 discount (only $169).
On Saturday, July 18, the day after the tour, Torres and Uriarte will speak at the National Atomic Testing Museum in Las Vegas on the strange relationship between Area 51 and UFOs. The presentation will be at 7 p.m. at the Smithsonian-

They have appeared separately and together on a number of television shows, including UFO Hunters, UFO Files, Monster Hunters, Ancient Aliens, and UFOs Over Earth. Their research is featured in an upcoming film by Patrick Connelly titled They Rode the Flying Saucers. They also appear frequently on Coast to Coast AM and speak at numerous UFO conferences each year. Uriarte is state director of the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) in Northern California, and Torres is a former MUFON state section director in Texas.
In discussing the history of Area 51 based on declassified documents, newspaper accounts, and eyewitness testimony, the authors will also explore how the mysterious base first became associated with UFOs. Accompanying their talk, a multimedia presentation will feature video clips and still photographs of the base throughout its history, as well as recent developments at the base and including all the known “black projects” that have been tested there.
