Power Scuba Presents Trek Nation

SAN DIEGO - July 2, 2015 - PRLog -- At 6:00pm on July 9^th, 2015, San Diego-based non-profit Power Scuba would like to invite the public to a screening of Trek Nation, the documentary exploring Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry’s legacy, as seen through the eyes of his son, Rod Roddenberry. Rod, a Power Scuba member himself, will introduce the film and be available for Q&A following.  He will also screen Instant, a short science fiction film co-produced by Roddenberry Entertainment. The event will be held at the Museum of Photographic Arts in Balboa Park.

Rod Roddenberry is the founder of Roddenberry Adventures, “an exploration-based organization committed to discovery, education, and preservation of our environment.”  The organization’s ideals carry on Star Trek’s legacy of exploration and run parallel to Power Scuba’s mission of ocean exploration and stewardship. The event is expected to draw scuba divers and Star Trek fans alike.

Power Scuba is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation dedicated to ocean stewardship and the preservation of our underwater environment. Comprised primarily of scuba divers, Power Scuba will educate the community, through outreach and programs, about the local underwater ecosystem, which desperately needs our help.
