Third Annual Roll & Stroll Event Comes to Gallery Row Arts District

NAGS HEAD, N.C. - July 1, 2015 - PRLog -- The Gallery Row Arts District is Nags Head’s Fine Art Destination. It is a unique area located in the heart of Nags Head, NC, a coastal community surrounded by the beauty of the Outer Banks’ Cape Hatteras National Seashore. The district was designated by the Town of Nags Head to showcase its fine art galleries, dining, unique shops, and other cultural heritage ties.

Gallery Row Arts District is located north of Bonnett Street, and in between S. Virginia Dare Trail & the Route 158 Bypass. It boasts a vibrant community of fine art galleries, original design jewelry shops, elegant & whimsical gift shops, family & fine dining restaurants, an officially certified surf school, and other cultural points of interest. International, national, and local art exhibits are featured in the district’s art galleries year round.

The Third Annual Roll & Stroll is the Gallery Row Arts District’s signature event. Each summer the art galleries, businesses, gift shops, and restaurants in the district join together to create an exciting atmosphere of art shows, food, and fun for the whole family. Participating businesses stay open late on Thursday July 9, 2015 from 5:30pm to 8:30pm for a fun-filled evening of demonstrations by renowned artists, live music, poetry readings, special sales and outdoor activities.

This unique celebration of Outer Banks art and culture is free to the public and is pedestrian friendly. Meet the artists in person at the art galleries, and watch them create their latest masterpieces firsthand. Discover the innovative and exciting ways art can express itself – from an avant-garde gallery designed by a local artist, to live demonstration of French Plein Air style painting and Fanciful Art, mirrors framed in ancient glass, and exquisite hand-wrought jewelry with one-of-a-kind designs fit for Hollywood’s red carpet. Find fascinating photographs, sculptures, Civil War era maps, local goods, eclectic gifts, limited edition prints, Disney animation cells, and many other treasures.
