501c3 Non-profit Help Is On The Way Today Announces Theme Song Contest

NEW YORK - July 1, 2015 - PRLog -- Help Is On The Way Today, a 501c3 non-profit that assists children and youth living with HIV AIDS, has announced a song contest for a new theme to be used at all their charity events beginning September 2015. After considering submission requirements detailed below, writers are asked to submit an original song, written for Help Is On The Way Today by mp3 file, lyric sheet and a lead sheet by July 16th 2015 to: Jjmac249@aol.com.

New York entertainment producer and co-booking manager of the Metropolitan Room, Joseph Macchia, founded Help Is On The Way Today in 2005.

Submission Requirements and details:
*** Songwriters are asked to familiarize themselves with the charity before sending music by visiting the website at: http://www.helpisonthewaytoday.org  ***

1.The non-profit is seeking submissions of uplifting custom theme songs (written especially for Help Is On The WayToday) no longer than four minutes about the importance of helping others.

2. All submissions will be screened by a committee of entertainment industry professionals.

3. Ten song finalists will be voted on by a panel of judges, the charity’s past Spirit Award winners, and the public at a live event on August 11th at the Metropolitan Room, 34 West 22nd Street, NYC. The songs will be performed by a lineup of NYC cabaret and theater talent.

4. The song receiving the most votes will become the charity theme, to be introduced to the public in a live performance at the opening event of 2015-2016 fundraising season.

5. A press release announcing the winner will be released to press locally and nationally.

6. The song will be used at all Help Is On The Way Today events, and credit will be given verbally and in the event programs.

7. Help Is On The Way Today will retain exclusive use of the winning song.
