New chef at the Grand Hotel Rogaška in Rogaška Slatina

ROGASKA SLATINA, Slovenia - June 25, 2015 - PRLog -- Grand Hotel Rogaska is certainly striving for pleasure and well-being of its guests and also continually upgrading its service and product. At the present time, full of tension and rapid life, a very important factor is healthy eating, especially when we take time for ourselves. Therefore we invited a renowned chef Tom Žgajner to join our team, whose basic food-philosophy is natural, healthy and local. Chef Tom is from Rogaška Slatina, with a long culinary history and carefully designed gastronomic philosophy.

“I’m a staunch advocate of organic food because it contains more nutrients, antioxidants, vitamins and phytonutrients and less chemicals. With herbs from my garden I prepare dishes that are delicious and special, because each herb adds a unique flavour. Herbs and spices also help maintain our balance and with a proper diet they can work as well as medicines, since many herbs have an amazing healing effect with no side effects. That is why our SPA treatments, based on a holistic approach, always include herbs and other plant products. Many herbs and spices help remove the underlying source of various health problems, optimize and balance the physical and mental functioning of the whole body; herbs are a natural source of polyphenols, which are beneficial to health.”

In the hotel you will now be able to taste natural and locally grown food with spices from our own garden. In summer you are also invited to our terrace overlooking the beautiful blooming central park, where there is a la carte restaurant Randez Vous and where you can taste the Mediterranean menu, which is carefully prepared with seasonal ingredients. For guests with special SPA programmes we have prepared tailored menus, with which you will be able to detoxify the body, lose weight, relax and accumulate strength for future life challenges.
