LOS ANGELES - June 24, 2015 - PRLog -- At the age of seventeen, identical twins Carl and Kelvin Wolfenden said good-bye to their friends and family in Great Britain as they boarded their flight to Los Angeles 5,428 miles away. They had known for years where they were headed; they were actors and they were about to fulfill their dreams!

In a recent interview that took place in Studio City, California, only blocks away from the world-famous CBS Studios, the twins were asked a series of tough questions: “What parents in their right minds would send their 17-year-old children half way around the world to chase an impossible dream?” “Why didn’t you get your university degree first?” “What will you do when the dream stops working?” The twins smiled a lot; it was obvious that they had heard versions of those questions a number of times. Their answers told a story that inspired and empowered all who were there.

Carl and Kelvin were always interested in acting. As long ago as they can remember, they enjoyed entertaining their family and friends. They really “got serious” about acting at age 11. They acted in England for five years. And they impressed a lot of people. Beginning around the age of 12, they told their parents every day that they wanted to go to America. They would regularly write the word “America” on a sheet of paper and leave it at the top of the stairs for their parents to see.

“Most people talk about it; we did it!” Carl, by five minutes the older of the twins, asserted. “They saw our passion,” added Kelvin. “They witnessed our unwavering dedication, drive, and our absolute resolve to succeed in the acting business. They saw us act and they knew how good we were.” “So we finally wore them down,” Carl added with a smile on his face and that famous twinkle in his eye.

“At the end of our education, all of our teachers were asking us what we were going to do,” Carl explained, “We simply told them that we were going to America to become famous actors! Of course, our answer surprised everyone. We could have gone on to higher education, but we didn’t want to be stuck in England for two or three more years. We didn’t want to waste time. We wanted to start then. We were seventeen when we moved here.”

It was obvious that these were not typical actors, or for that matter, typical people. In responding to questions, they displayed a knowledge, resolve, and wisdom way beyond their years. One of the reporters was heard to say, “Most 50 year olds don’t have any idea where their lives are going and these young men have known for certain since they were twelve!”

The biggest smiles came when the twins were asked, “What’s your Plan B?” Their response was totally unexpected and seemed to shock and inspire all who were present. “A lot of people have asked what we’ll do if we don’t make it,” Kelvin responded. “We’re not going to do anything else. We don’t have a Plan B.” Carl continued the stream of thought: “For us, failure is not an option. Therefore there is no need for a Plan B. People who have a Plan B often give themselves permission to settle for Plan B and they give up on the dream.”

When asked another question about their parents, Carl responded, “We have a relationship with our parents that most people wish they had.” “Parents can be discouraging. Most don’t understand that the passion is there for a reason,” added Kelvin. “Our parents are totally supportive! We Skype them every other day and we message every day. It’s really nice. Even though we’re in different countries, we get amazing help and support from our parents. They are the two main people in our lives.” Carl seemed to continue the thought as he smiled and added, “Our parents will have a much larger home if five years.” “And, they’ll hold us to that!” Kelvin added. Both displayed big smiles

The twins have been in the United States for less than ten months. During that time, they have enjoyed major roles in over a dozen films and a national McDonald’s commercial. They have also signed for two starring roles in two back-to-back upcoming feature films.

Carl and Kelvin Wolfenden are, indeed, living the Hollywood dream. Along the way, they are inspiring and motivating many people. Perhaps they actually have discovered the “secret of success.” Watch for them – coming soon to a theater near you!
