Follow on Google News | FishCorb’s Thriller The Body Tree in Post-ProductionBy: FishCorb Films Rodríguez, former head of development and in-house producer at Drimtim Entertainment, helmers of Ben Hur‘s mini-series adaption of Ben Hur acquired by ABCdescribed the storyline of The Body Tree as revolving around a group of Americans who become entangled in a plot that threatens their lives while making a visit to Siberia to honor the memory of their murdered friend. "We’re very pleased with the performances we received from our cast and that the project is moving on schedule," Rodríguez said. "The Body Tree is an excellent addition to FishCorb Films’slate of pictures and I’m very pleased to have been involved with it." Directed by Thomas Dunn, The Body Tree stars Erica Dasher, Emma Dumont and Kyle Jones. The film was part of Rodríguez’s collaboration with FishCorb Films, founded by producers Roger Corbi and Yan Fisher-Romanovsky. Rodríguez joined Corbi and Fisher-Romanovsky after producing six films with Drimtim Entertainment. She produced Lifetime’s first Latin-oriented movie, Lies in Plain Sight in conjunction with the company; it was winner of the 2011 NAMIC Vision Awards for Original Movie or Special and a nominee for the 2011 Imagen Foundation Awards’Best Primetime Television Program. Helmed by critically-acclaimed director Patricia Cardoso, Lies in Plain Sight starred Martha Higareda, Chad Michael Murray, Rosie Perez, Benito Martinez and Daniela Bobadilla Her future projects include Brutus, a feature film project based on a short from director Konstantin Fam’s Witnesses trilogy. Shoes, another film in the trilogy, was one of two films submitted by Russia for Academy Award consideration. In addition, Rodríguez produced FishCorb’s Seve, a biopic about renowned champion golfer Severiano Ballesteros that was recently released in the UK and that will be released in Spain this month.
