Follow on Google News | High Voltage, Lyrically Aggressive and Thought Provoking…Artist Fiyah Starter Is Coming!By: Fiyah Starter Delivering a new but classic sound Fiyah Starter has recently unveiled his first single “Reload” which can be heard on SoundCloud and seen on Youtube. “Fiyah” is inspired to rekindle the unique and innovative sounds of the times that shaped his craft. The first release “Reload” is a furious bombardment of lyrics over an intense bass line and reggae highlights. Already being referred to as a true lyricist over beats Fiyah Starter’s sound is powerfully reminiscent. Fiyah Starter was born in Paterson, NJ….. Both of his grandmothers came to America from Jamaica W.I. with their children looking to provide a better life and to live the “American Dream”. After leaving Jamaica his father’s mother (Grandma Bailey) moved to NJ and his mother’s mom (Grandma Cumberland) moved to NYC. Every Summer Fiyah Starter would go to NY and spend time with his Mom, uncles, Aunts, cousins etc. At the age of 13 Fiyah Starter moved to NY on a permanent basis. Fiyah Starter states, “my craft is inspired first and foremost by the culture I was blessed to be raised in. As a youngster my first introduction to music was the sounds of the Nyabinghi and Kette drum sessions. This was my first Love as it relates to music because there wasn’t any Hip Hop played in my household. I don’t believe I heard my first Hip Hop song until I was almost ten years old. I remember like It was yesterday…the first Hip Hop artist I ever heard in the late 80’s came from an Emcee who still to this day is my greatest and all time personal favorite. This particular Emcee had a cadence that was so “familiar” The sound has been embedded in his soul since he heard “The Bridge is Over” which took us on a journey into the fledgling Hip Hop art, which Fiyah believes hit it's high point in the 90's. Fiyah Starter states, "I am stuck in a '90's Hip Hop time capsule. I never left and the music has evolved without me. I can't let go of what I refer to as the Golden Era. There is much more to come so stay tuned and in the meantime, Start A Fiyah!” More Information: · Fiyah Starter Entertainment: End
