The National Children's Cancer Society Receives Two Marketing Disease Prevention In America Awards

 
ST. LOUIS - June 23, 2015 - PRLog -- The National Children’s Cancer Society (NCCS) recently received two national Marketing Disease Prevention in America awards at the MPDA national conference held in Atlanta, GA on June 16th-17th, 2015.

NCCS received the silver award for Best WebsiteAdvocacy Group and a bronze award in the category of Best Consumer Support via Program or Event Advocacy Group, for its “Sun Day-Fun Day” campaign.

Sun Day-Fun Day is a fun-filled, educational program designed for elementary and middle school students.   The progr's goals are to educate students about sun safety and  to encourage children to raise money for kids their own age who have cancer by fundraising for NCCS.

“The NCCS website was awarded for providing easily accessible and understood education, resources, and support to those touched by childhood cancer.”  The educational program, Sun Day-Fun Day, was recognized for the clever and engaging manner in which NCCS was able to teach children, their families, and schools about sun safety as well as ways to minimize the risk of skin cancer,” said Jennifer Kovack, Director of Publishing & Awards for DTC Perspectives.
