"Pickley Trouble" by Julie Carroll to be released later this summer

AMERICAN FORK, Utah - June 23, 2015 - PRLog -- Dickery Pickery decides to give farming a try. How hard could it be? Before he knows it, his house, his farm, and EVERYTHING is
overrun with fast-growing crops! He’s in quite a pickle!

Dickery's story can be found in Pickley Trouble,  a rhyming picture book by debut author and illustrator Julie Carroll.  "Books take you to new worlds, they take you out of your home and on an adventure, they teach you to see things differently," says Carroll, a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators.  "It’s my hope to bring a smile to faces and joy to hearts when children go on an adventure with my books."

Though not available for purchase yet, the book has been received positively as something young readers will enjoy.  "I found the story very likable," says Barbara Thacker, who has been a substitute teacher for Elementary-aged children for 26 years.  "I think the children will love the adventure through the rhyming words and all those pickles!"

"I like the funny words and the pictures," says young fan C.H. Larsen, age 6.  "I always ask my Mom to read the book to me 'one more time!' "
