By: Judah Freed at Hoku House A fourth-generation Colorado and Denver native, Judah moved to Hawaii in 2010 to marry former New York native Melissa Mojo. The July 5 talk is his first Denver appearance since 2013. The author of the forthcoming book, Making Global Sense, Judah Ken Freed entered journalism in 1976 and wrote regularly for Westword from the first issue onward for about five years. He also freelanced for The Denver Post, Rocky Mountain News, The Denver Magazine, Colorado Homes & Lifestyles, Colorado Woman, and others. He served as a staff reporter or editor forThe Aurora Sun, Longmont Times-Call, Colorado Daily, Denver Downtowner, and Colorado Statesman. He further hosted a talk show on KGNU in Denver and Boulder. Starting in the 1990s, he began writing for national and international media industry trade magazines. He pioneered coverage of interactive digital TV and the Internet. Judah is a former president of the Colorado Authors League, director of the Colorado Independent Publishers Association, director of the Denver Press Club, and founder of the 900-member Denver Book Club. Today judah lives on the garden island of Kauai in Hawaii, where he mostly works as a book coach for clients in Hawaii and the mainland.
