Jaguar Land Rover Columbia Celebrates Grand Opening Event

COLUMBIA, S.C. - June 18, 2015 - PRLog -- Jaguar Land Rover Columbia hosted a special Grand Opening event on June 11 to celebrate the completion of its new state-of-the-art showroom. With over 200 guests in attendance and appearances by S.C. Gov. Nikki R. Haley and future Baseball Hall of Famer Ken Griffey, Jr., the crowd of customers, investors, and community members came together to debut the new building and provide support for future success.

The construction on the new facility began in July 2014 and has since been completed to include sales and service departments, and administrative offices. Also included in the construction was a complete renovation of the adjacent building previously occupied by Land Rover Columbia, which is now the parts department and service shop. The all-new dealership encompasses 25,000 square feet and employs 42 employees. Combining the Jaguar and Land Rover brands at one site was vital to mirror the unity that the automaker created in 2008.

These two luxury performance auto brands are among the most well-respected worldwide and have the ability to have a substantial impact on the Columbia market. "This is a large investment in the Columbia community, and we are looking forward to better serving the market with this modern, high-tech facility,” said Warner Peacock, President and CEO of Coastal States Automotive Group, LLC, the parent company of Jaguar Land Rover Columbia.

The dealership was pleased to have S.C. Gov. Nikki R. Haley in attendance to say a few words prior to the ribbon cutting and visit with attendees. “They care as much about the community as they do about the cars they sell,” said Gov. Haley, referring to the commitment that management of Coastal States Automotive Group and Jaguar Land Rover Columbia has made to local organizations and charities through numerous events and sponsorships. “These are people who care about the people of South Carolina.”

Guests enjoyed food, drinks, live music, and a special ribbon cutting. Gov. Haley, Coastal States Automotive Group founding shareholders, future Baseball Hall of Famer Ken Griffey, Jr., prominent Orlando attorney Jay Brennan, automotive retail industry icon Don Mealey, and Mr. Peacock participated in the ribbon cutting to end the evening of celebration.
