New Malibu with Terracotta Ceramic Tiles from Avente – An Ode to Old California, Spanish Revival

LOS ANGELES - June 16, 2015 - PRLog -- In our continuing effort to bring you the highest quality in hand-glazed ceramic tile products and designs, we’re happy to announce the addition of Malibu with Terracotta Ceramic Tiles to our evolving collection of hand-crafted tiles.

This line of locally made, hand-painted ceramic tiles pays homage to the Malibu and Catalina Potteries of 1920s California. Using classic patterns, these tiles are created using the cuerda seca technique that produces a slight relief and outline around each pattern color where the glazes pool.

Moreover, these tiles differ from our Malibu Ceramic Tile line because the design utilizes unglazed terracotta or bisque for the background for a traditional Spanish look. Mix and match plain from our collection of Malibu Field Tiles for creating colorful designs. These tiles are suitable for all indoor applications including walls and floors. The Malibu ceramic tile collections are suitable for outdoor locations in frosty environments.

Further, Malibu with Terracotta Ceramic Tile collection offers 25 striking hand-painted designs in four available sizes: 6"x6", 5"x5", 4"x4", 3"x3". Together with an unglazed terracotta background and their resistance to freeze/thaw environments, they are perfect for a variety of indoor and outdoor environments. Please note that because the terracotta is unglazed, this collection will need to be sealed with a penetrating sealer.
