Dr. A. Gary Shilling speaks at the Opal Exchange debut Event

NEW YORK - June 20, 2015 - PRLog -- Institutional investors such as endowments, single and multi-family offices, funds of funds and endowments, investment managers for real estate and real estate managers, hedge funds managers, financial managers and private equity managers as well service providers like broke dealers, administrators and legal counselors converged in Swissotel Chicago, Illinois for the Opal Exchange. This two day event took place from 9th to 11th June 2015. The purpose of the event was to enable attendees who share similar investment goals an opportunity to connect and develop linkages. Opal Exchange uses a sophisticated interface to schedule purposeful private meetings for like-minded investors and managers.

The agenda for this by invitation only event featured a keynote speech and networking opportunities through a cocktail reception and private one-on-one meetings at 'Exchange Hubs'. Each one-on-one exchange meeting was designed to last for about 25 minutes.  Opal  confirmed participation of invited attendees after which they were required to complete an exclusive investment profile. This profile helped in pairing participants up. With the information availed by attendees, allocators and managers were granted opportunity to ask for one-on-one exchange meetings using a messaging tool on Opal Exchange.

The Opal Exchange event started off with a networking cocktail reception on 9th June evening. On day two, event attendees participated in one-on-one meetings where Asset Managers  hosted a maximum of 24 private discussions with potential allocators throughout the day. A keynote speech on the topic "Investment Strategies in Slow Global Deflation and Growth" was delivered in the evening of day two. Attendees joined a networking party and reception thereafter. One-on-one exchange meetings  continued throughout day three up to 4pm, when the event closed.
