Top Japanese publisher Kirihara Shoten partners with BeNative business English service

SHIBUYA-KU, Japan - June 15, 2015 - PRLog -- TOKYO, Japan -- June 15, 2015--SMATOOS Inc. officially announced today that they are partnering with Kirihara Shoten Inc. to develop business English textbooks for university students. SMATOOS is a global ed-tech startup company, whose popular web service, BeNative, is specialized in business English language learning. Kirihara Shoten is a leading Japanese educational textbook publication company.

The textbook is based on BeNative's online business English learning content. The combination of the textbooks and the original BeNative video content will allow university professors to utilize the BeNative service to teach business English in a comprehensive and efficient way. Students can study BeNative's web content and supplement this with regular in-person classes that use the textbook. These lessons will elaborate on BeNative's web service and provide ample opportunity to further explore BeNative's lessons.

This is a different approach from the traditional type of English textbook. The material featured in this collaboration will be useful for students right after graduation, when they are in business situations. Some lessons include expressing yourself during a job interview or a presentation, both of which Japanese clients expressed the need for detailed instruction and examples.

Describing the innovation and need for a collaboration of this kind, Kirihara Shoten CEO Mr. Saito says "Despite always talking about practical English education, I don't think we have enough material for teachers that aims to educate and support global business professionals. Business English education is a hot topic and in high demand, and BeNative's video content is great material to support that demand."

The project is also supported and officially supervised by Ms. Yukie Saito from Y&S Visionary Inc, who teaches at Waseda and Meiji Universities. She is widely recognized in the English education and global consulting fields.

The plan is to release the textbook at the end of October 2015. Initial sales will be through conferences and exhibitions until February 2016. Following that, teachers all across Japan will be able to use the textbooks from April 2016.

Both SMATOOS and Kirihara Shoten are planning a long term relationship to develop and provide textbooks for university students. Some future plans include a specialized textbook for presentations and a textbook for Japanese students who will study abroad.
