Zachary Tinkle Wins K1 Speed Addison Junior Championship

PARK RIDGE, Ill. - June 14, 2015 - PRLog -- Tinkle Family Racing is proud to announce that up-and-coming twelve-year-old racer Zachary Tinkle of Park Ridge, IL has won his third electric go-kart championship at K1 Speed in Addison.

Tinkle had a tumultuous season, but survived and came out on top in spite of the set backs. In the last night of the season, Tinkle clocked the best qualifying time to secure the pole position. He went on to win the race and ultimately the championship the same night.

Tinkle will continue with electric go-kart racing in the fall session by moving up to the adult karts and participating in the teen group. He also currently is racing with Central States Region Super Cups in ½ size NASCAR® style stock cars.

About Zachary Tinkle

Zachary Tinkle is a 12-year-old driving sensation based in Park Ridge, IL that currently races the #53 ½ size stock car mini cups (also known as super cups) and indoor electric go-karts. He is the 2014 Central States Region (CSR) Rookie of the Year and placed Top 5 in championship points in his rookie season.

Tinkle has won a junior gas-powered indoor go-karting championship (Chicago Indoor Racing 2013) and three junior electric indoor go-karting championships (K1 Speed 2014 & 2015). He has family ties to the Indianapolis and Richmond, IN areas and was born in Cincinnati, OH.

Zachary has aspirations of racing at the top levels of stock car racing including getting a ride with a NASCAR® team.
