BIRTHDAY PARTY TO CELEBRATE THE BIRTH OF THOSE WHO ARE HOMELESS IN SONOMA COUNTY.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Redwood Gospel Mission expects to celebrate with 250-300 men, women and children at the Homeless Birthday Party.

Press Release (../) – June 12, 2014 - Santa Rosa, CA (June 12, 2015)

Everybody has a birthday and whether it is celebrated with friends, family or co-workers, most people’s birthdays are celebrated. One group of people whose birth is not often celebrated is the homeless. For most homeless men, women and children, their birthday is just another day they are trying to survive. Last year at the Homeless Birthday Party, one of the guests, Michael, summarized the event with a quote that made our hearts smile and sink at the same time, "Best birthday party I have had in 50 years, and the FIRST birthday party I have had in 50 years."

Homeless Birthday Party on Friday, June 19th from 12-2pm will be held at Julliard Park, 227 Santa Rosa Ave, with BBQ lunch, root beer floats, live music and more.

The Redwood Gospel Mission, along with local churches, organizations and volunteers will join together to bring hope and help to the homeless of Santa Rosa and Sonoma County. We anticipate providing 300 Birthday Bags to men, women and children.

In addition to a BBQ Lunch, the event will also offer the homeless free haircuts, foot washing, pedicures, manicures, a photo booth, and other services.

Opportunities to serve and donate are listed at http://www.srmission.org/hbp15.html
