HyProCure Positively Changes Children’s Lives in Peru
During the first week of June 2015, GraMedica® and Promedon S.A. its commercial representative in Peru sponsored live surgeries and events to educate surgeons about HyProCure® in Lima.
Instruction provided by Dr. Michael Forte-Malave included eight separate events over four days in Lima, Peru. Events training almost 80 orthopaedic and traumotologist surgeons included hands-on training during live surgeries of the Extra-Osseous TaloTarsal (EOTTS) procedure with HyProCure®. Together, GraMedica, Promedon S.A., and Graham International Implant Institute provided educational grants in support of these programs.

Left untreated, talotarsal joint dislocation can lead to serious, long-term foot, knee, hip, and back related issues that often require aggressive forms of surgery. The minimally invasive EOTTS with HyProCure® procedure has provided tens of thousands of pediatric and adult patients with immediate correction for congenital/acquired talotarsal joint dislocation.

About Dr. Michael Forte-Malave
Dr. Forte-Malave is a Board Certified Foot Surgeon who has lectured for companies such as Pfizer, Merck, Sharp & Dohme, Novartis, Johnson and Johnson, GraMedica, and the Puerto Rico Health Department. He has been involved in the extensive training of interns and residents of several Puerto Rican hospitals since 2010 and is currently involved in various FDA sponsored studies in the field of Woundcare.
