Country-Pop Canadian Songbird Anne Murray, to be Honored in Streaming Radio Tribute on June 20, 2015

Baltimore Net Radio to host live internet broadcast celebrating the magnificent career and milestone birthday of Anne Murray, the beloved Canadian songbird, on Saturday, June 20, 2015, 3 – 6pm NYT.
 
BALTIMORE - June 12, 2015 - PRLog -- Baltimore Net Radio bumps it up a notch on Saturday, June 20, 2015 from 3 - 6pm NYT by celebrating the birthday of Canada’s beloved songbird, Anne Murray. This three hour live broadcast will pay tribute to Murray in celebration of her magnificent and wildly successful career spanning five decades. Listeners will be treated to numerous classic hits in addition to a few seldom heard prized recordings.  An interview with the songbird herself will be aired during the broadcast along with birthday greetings from fans and friends. Murray was the first Canadian female solo singer to reach No. 1 on the U.S. charts, and also the first to earn a Gold record for one of her signature songs, "Snowbird" in 1970. She is often cited as the one who paved the way for other international Canadian success stories such as K. D. Lang, Céline Dion and Shania Twain.  She is also the first woman and the first Canadian to win "Album of the Year" at the 1984 Country Music Association Awards for her Gold-plus 1983 album A Little Good News.

Murray has received four Grammys, a record 24 Junos, three American Music Awards, three Country Music Association Awards, and three Canadian Country Music Association Awards. She has been inducted into the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame, the Juno Hall of Fame, the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Canadian Broadcast Hall of Fame. She is a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame Walkway of Stars in Nashville, and has her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles and on Canada's Walk of Fame in Toronto.
