GILBERT, Ariz. - June 11, 2015 - PRLog -- Stax3D Printing is an exciting new full-service print shop, retail and community/business event space specializing in delivering precision 3D printing, design, and goods production.    Stax3D Printing also sells 3D equipment: printers, filaments, scanners, supplies and service agreements.   The future of printing is indeed here and Stax3D is poised and positioned as Arizona’s industry leader.  The only printer of its kind in the state and only one of a handful nationally, Stax3D Printing is already producing unique projects; serving a variety of clients representing diverse industries - globally.

What is 3D printing and how does it work?  It is a process for making a physical object from a three-dimensional digital model.  This is typically done by laying down many successive thin layers (stacking) of material such as Fused Deposition Modeling Thermoplastic (FDM) and using Stereolithography Apparatus (SLA) which is a cured resin system whereby a laser emits light that hardens the resin into a specific shape or design.  In other words, if one can dream it, “it” can be designed and digitally produced and when applicable, brought to market quicker.  Imagine the possibilities.   Everything from widgets to fashion couture – if one can dream it, the Stax3D team can design and deliver it, precisely, quickly and impressively.

When asked about her philosophy and approach to doing business, owner and managing partner Alisa Yocum replied, “My husband and business partner Jason and I found that while working together our projects combined the precision of an engineer with the creativity of an artist.  Three-D printing captures the left and right brain into one big tool capable of handling our unique and always correct methods of design and development.  This is the future. No other 3D printing company in Arizona offers what we do:  an actual storefront where customers can come, hang out, share their passion for design and leave with an intricately produced, finished product.  We enjoy the one-to-one engagement with our customers.  We love being involved in the whole process, from conception to production – anything is possible!”

Another unique characteristic of Stax3D is their community involvement and humanitarian efforts.  Stax3D Printing serves as advocate and super hero to those in need of prosthetics, particularly prosthetic hands for youth with 70% or so loss of use.  Additionally, they work closely with public libraries and public schools.  This is their philanthropic calling and a special calling it is.
