PRLog -- Non-Profit Executive Director Sherry Saturno, LCSW, DCSW was recognized as a Tarrytown Everyday Hero for humanitarian works and advocacy with the underserved and elderly. Saturno, Executive Director of the Hudson Valley Care Coalition in New York, oversees an organization that focuses on care coordination between physical and behavioral healthcare to assist a vulnerable population. She is a social worker whose career has concentrated on helping seniors, the chronically ill, and the dying. Saturno also wrote and produced a documentary short film called "Human Investment" that explores what drives professionals to invest themselves in the humanity of care for their clients. She has Master's degrees and certifications from Columbia University, Long Island University, Stanford University and Boston University. Saturno also completed a national post-graduate leadership fellowship at New York University Silver School of Social Work, and has received National Association of Social Work awards on county and state wide levels.
