FAIRFIELD, Calif. - June 9, 2015 - PRLog -- The Writers Resource Center (WRC) will continue its “Getting Ready to Publish” seminars for new and accomplished writers at its next meeting.  The sessions will help prepare writers who want to publish novels, short stories, poems and memoirs.  The meeting will take place on Saturday, June 13th from 10 am to 12 noon at 1745 Enterprise Drive, Fairfield, room 113.  Admission is free for members and $10 for non-members.  Complementary refreshments will be served.  For more information please visit the group’s website at www.wrcnoca.com.

“We are still working with authors who would like to be included in our first anthology, “A Writer’s Passion,” says WRC President Janie P. Bess.  “Getting published in an anthology is one of the best ways for a new author to get their work noticed.”

Writers are encouraged to bring their manuscripts for critique and to participate in exercises that are meant to sharpen their writing skills.  Anyone attending should bring their own supplies - pens, paper, laptops or other electronic devices.  The group’s anthology is set to be published later this year.  Works are being accepted from both WRC members and non-members and from local, regional and national writers. Visit WRC’s website (wrcnoca.com) for submission guidelines. You will also find information there on how to become a member of the group.
