Follow on Google News | Writers’ Group to Hold “Getting Ready to Publish” SeminarsSeries will teach students how to write short stories, novels, poems and memoirs. Tips on how to promote your work and get published will also be featured.
By: Writers Resource Center “We are still working with authors who would like to be included in our first anthology, “A Writer’s Passion,” says WRC President Janie P. Bess. “Getting published in an anthology is one of the best ways for a new author to get their work noticed.” Writers are encouraged to bring their manuscripts for critique and to participate in exercises that are meant to sharpen their writing skills. Anyone attending should bring their own supplies - pens, paper, laptops or other electronic devices. The group’s anthology is set to be published later this year. Works are being accepted from both WRC members and non-members and from local, regional and national writers. Bess, an author and recent recipient of a California state honors award from Assembly Member Susan Bonilla. She was also recently accepted into the National Association of Professional Women. The group, which is based in Fairfield, has members located throughout the Bay Area and the nation.
