Ben Hill United Methodist Church Jazz on The Hill A Big Success Raising Awareness About Malaria

Hundreds turned out for an unforgettable evening as members of Ben Hill United Methodist Church performed jazz and gospel music at the church for its " Imagine No Malaria" campaign to raise awareness and funds for eradication of Malaria in Africa.

ATLANTA - June 9, 2015 - PRLog -- Requests are coming in loud and clear for a repeat performance of "Jazz on The Hell" featuring talented performers of Ben Hill United Methodist Church who donated their time on Friday June 5 for an unforgettable performance at the Church in Southwest Atlanta.

Hundreds turned out and packed the church for the free concert to bring awareness to the fight to wipe out malaria. The Imagine No Malaria concert hosted by Ben Hill United Methodist Church Global Health Initiative was held  at the church, 2099 Fairburn Rd. SW Atl featuring the smooth spirit filled sounds of Milk Shake, trumpeter/flugelhornis and the Milk Shake Quintett and Christine Mayfield, Gospel Jazz Vocalist. Other Ben Hill UMC talent included Juanita Craft, Leslie Tanner, Angela Mathews, Officer Roz Johnson and Patricia Allen. There was a special performance by Poet Hank Stewart.

Senior Pastor Byron Thomas said a repeat performance will likely happen next year to raise funds for the youth of Ben Hill UMC  to travel to Africa on an educational journey.
