THE BOOK OF MOJO chronicles the adventurous life of Lucy, a powerful, magical tween who is searching to be re-united with her father, inside a world where 'magic' is now "the new normal.” Today magic is a part of lore but what if, tomorrow, the universe awakens and mythology is now a fact? That’s the world found inside THE BOOK OF MOJO and the place where Lucy, a young orphan, must balance her growing abilities. Ditching the foster-care system, the plucky teenager embarks on a mission to be re-united with her father, despite the lurking perils of the gritty streets, and the danger poised by ruthless gangs who want to force “all magical people” into their nefarious activities. A quick witted and clever kid, Lucy maneuvers the murky underworld with her side-kick, Thales, a grumpy spirit inhabiting the body of a chubby rat. Being hunted by Twist, a thug with powerful magic, who fronts the ruthless street gang, The Demon Lords. Danger lurks at every turn, until a 7 foot, enchanted statue drops from the sky, rescuing Lucy from certain death and terrifying the brutal thugs, not an easy feat in a world filled with magic. Unable to connect anything to his past, Lucy affectionately names her mysterious protector Mojo and so the adventure begins. The character Twist is voiced by actor Joey Richter, who has over 117K twitter followers @JoeyRichter and is currently the hilarious voice of a bullying zebra in Khumba, alongside Steve Buscemi, Laurence Fishburne and Liam Neeson. “15 years working with some of the best story tellers in the world, at Pixar, Blue Sky and Dream Works, and being a part of some of the best animated stories, in the history of the art form, is a large part of my inspiration to bring THE BOOK OF MOJO to life,” stated Everett Downing.
