New Book Claims to be a Solution to the Frustrated Cries of Etsy Sellers

Selling on Etsy Might Not Be As Tough As You Think—Thanks to The Handmade Entrepreneur Book

MISSOULA, Mont. - June 8, 2015 - PRLog -- Meet Etsy; a thriving marketplace filled with talented individuals all trying to sell their handmade creations. Thousands of buyers dreamily click through page after page of unique items every day and the website continues to grow in popularity with each passing year.

On the flip side, well over one million sellers eagerly wait for sales notifications in hopes that they can turn their hobby into a successful business. For many, however, those notifications never arrive. Although it seems easy to list and sell handmade goods, the hard truth is that sellers must do a great deal more than just post their products for sale. The competition in nearly every product category has become fierce which leaves sellers frantically trying to learn how and where to market themselves.

If one were to visit the forums or Facebook groups filled with Etsy sellers they would see post after post from sellers asking for advice and wondering why their shops have yet to attract more than a few sales.

As if in answer to their cries of frustration, The Handmade Entrepreneur book offers sellers all the guidance they have been seeking. It is written by a professional with 11 years of experience in the marketing industry and covers everything related to marketing such as finding targeted audiences, building a following, maintaining customer relations, and more. However, this book doesn’t just jump right into the marketing aspect of building a business. As every successful business owner knows, no amount of marketing can sell improperly presented items. The author first teaches the readers how to present their products in a way that increases page clicks as well as improves page conversion rates. Impressively, she does this using only DIY methods which completely obliterates the excuse of not having enough money to set up shop properly.

The goal is to create a visually appealing shop page which draws buyers in. There are so many things which can turn buyers away and most sellers are unaware of them. Something as simple as having too few products listed or including too many kinds of products can tank a shop page.

The book contains plenty of pictures to illustrate each point and even lists a slue of free and cheap tools which sellers can use to get things going. At the end of the book, there is a four-week marketing action plan which gives sellers exact steps to follow each week in order to reach targeted clients and build a following. They are basic steps, but once sellers master them they can then expand to the more advanced steps which are also included in the book.

If ever there was a book that covered all the necessary steps to take your business from a startup to a success, then this is it. At a regular list price of only $7.99, this book is a steal, but to celebrate its début, the book will be offered for only $2.99 from June 12th through June 14th. The Handmade Entrepreneur will be published as a Kindle book on Amazon. Unfortunately, since the book contains so many images, it was decided not to make this available in print form due to the high cost of production.

Though you cannot access the book until the 12th, you can view updates on the author’s blog, howtosellcraftsonline.com, where she teaches sellers how to sell crafts online, does private consultations, and posts news related to the craft industry. Sellers, mark June 12th on your calendars and be ready to snatch up The Handmade Entrepreneur at the discounted price. This is one Kindle book you cannot do without.
