Children Uniting Nations Selects Mykesha A. Robinson As Executive Director

LOS ANGELES - June 7, 2015 - PRLog -- Los Angeles – Children Uniting Nations, a leading non-profit organization dedicated to providing quality mentors and advocates for foster and at-risk children, today announces a new Executive Director, Mykesha A. Robinson and launches a new celebrity mentorship program, CUN2.0.

Robinson, a local of Sacramento, Calif., brings her executive leadership to CUN and her passion for empowering youth to the city of Los Angeles. Robinson is the owner of the World Music Commission, the official producers of the prestigious Miss Sacramento County USA and Miss Sacramento County Teen USA 2013-2014 Pageants in affiliation with Donald J. Trump, the Miss Universe Organization and NBC Universal.  Robinson also comes from a strong political background, working as a consultant and Advance Staffer for The White House and Obama for America. In 2012, Robinson worked alongside the U.S. Secret Service and mainstream media such as CNN, NBC, CBS and more for President Obama in event planning.

“Robinson’s deep commitment to empowering youth and giving them the opportunity to pursue their American dream will inspire even the most vulnerable children in our community,” said CUN founder Daphna Edwards Ziman.  “We are delighted she is leading the organization into a new era of recognition with CUN2.0.”

Robinson spearheads Children Uniting Nations’ new CUN2.0 program initiative, expanding on the organization’s 16 years of service to at-risk and foster youth.  CUN2.0 will focus its programming in academic mentoring through Music, Technology and the Arts.

“We believe that through academic arts mentoring, this develops the child's sense of importance, self esteem and competence,” said Robinson.

Celebrity mentors make a commitment of year to have a 1:1 positive mentoring relationship with students, participate in events, festivals and educational workshops.  CUN2.0 Celebrity Mentors include Christy and Todd Gibel from Lifetime Television's “Little Women of L.A.”
